hello melbourne.

hope everyone is well on this cold winters night.

the last couple of weeks post-show have been fun and interesting - i've just finished the artwork for sparkadia's new single 'jealousy', i answered lots of interview questions, i drew goldfish on chucks and even had my picture taken in a white studio with big lights.

... but thats not what i've skipped yoga to write about. i wanted to let you know that i'm planning a solo show in melbourne for sometime in the next few months, i haven't confirmed a date or gallery yet, but i've got a van and a couch to sleep on so i'm quite excited.

i also wanted to let you know that a lovely girl called scarlett started a facebook group for me, it would be wonderful if you could all join [i'm a bit better at updating facebook then my website].

ok. there's more to say, but i'll leave it for sometime in the near future. till then.

hello. thank you.. and long weekend opening hours.

firstly, i just wanted to say thanks to everyone who made it down for the opening... hope you had a great night and that your heads weren't too sore on wednesday morning - we certainly went through a few beverages!

secondly, for those who haven't yet made it down to the gallery [or those who want to return at a time where there is some room to move], i will be there tomorrow, sunday and monday from midday to 4pm. if you want to come have a look outside of these hours, shoot me an email at hello@kareenazerefos.com. the gallery will also be open on tuesday from 10am.

solo show at MTV gallery!

As you may or may not know, I am having my first solo show in Sydney at the MTV Gallery opening Tuesday 3rd June. The opening event will be from 6 - 9pm and entry and drinks are free!

The exhibition will bring a collection of my recent illustrative work to the MTV gallery in East Sydney. Themes of isolation and escapism, through the depiction of children and their imagination will be explored through the artworks.

Works will include twenty five framed pieces in pencil, biro, gouache, ink and letraset on archival paper, as well as a series of pencil sketches on pianola scrolls.

The opening event will feature a special acoustic set from Alex Burnett of Sparkadia. ‘Postcards’ [their debut album being released May 31] features my artwork.

The exhibition continues Wednesday 4th June to Tuesday 10th June.
